“I’m lovin’ it.” This word is our crew’s hospitality. We welcome customers to McDonald’s kindly. Because we consider them to be a special guest, they will talk to us friendly, and trust us. By word of mouth, we have a good reputation. They will come with coworker, friends. In this way I hope that McDonald’s becomes particular place for them.
We have six steps of service. First of all, we greet cheerfully with smile when a lot of guests come into McDonald’s. Then, I don’t forget to see eyes each other. When I can’t tell a foreigner what I say, we see eyes each other. I shouldn’t say automatically, I try to adapt the speed of several guests. If there is a long line of people waiting to order something, I’m going to look at a situation frequently. In addition, I take an order. The point is to listen to guest’s order until the end. When the guest is thinking and ordering foods, I don’t have to talk to them too much. To keep listening to order until the end is a piece of hospitality because for example, guests can say anything like complaints endlessly. If guests hesitate which type of foods he should take, I will suggest a new type of food to a guest. I will explain it simply with using short words. If old people come to McDonald’s, I suggest a soft food like filet-o-fish. This sandwich is very popular with old people who are unable to chew tough foods well. I always suggest suitable foods to each guest. The most important thing is to receive the voice of guests flexible.
Another counter person prepares ordered foods for guests. The time from taking an order to giving foods is set by 72 minutes. When I finish preparing foods, I will check twice. If a family comes to McDonald’s, I will lead a family to vacant seats with carrying ordered foods. When the children take a toy of happy-set, he or she will be happy, so the children also feel one of the guests, I think. The happy-set is for the children. Finally, we are glad of a second coming. Then, we greet with smile and bow politely.
I have been worked at McDonald’s for five months. I sometimes have distaste for hard work; the manager warns of jobs, a specific customer complains about our attitude and service without trying hard. But I decide to think positive. Whatever happens, I will keep taking it easy.
Moreover I must think of previous service so that I acquire a speedy service. My movements are slow in my private time, so this job is hard for me. Now, I am able to think things efficiently in daily life. Thanks to McDonald’s, I changed my life. I will never change my pace at any other fast-food restaurants. Also, I learned to talk to different people beyond the generation. Servicing is not taking hold of things but feeling kindness, I think. I appreciate working at McDonald’s. I can find the other self. I’m proud of one of the crews.
